I lived, i know it's was great and my survival outing was a success  bellow me you see the beautiful shelter that protected me from the wind and the cold. unfortunately the was a little to much wind and a bit to much cold so it had to improve it and add the other side and add a thick bedding.

my night wasn't comfortable but i can tell you the two most vital thing I learn.

1) fire is you friend and they can be hard to light always be prepare and have materials set asides to make one in a moments notice it can save your life. fire was my best friend that kept me warm through the night. personal I am good at fire making and can light a fire in almost any condition this is due to a misguided child hood, but not everyone is so if you ever plan on camping or doing high adventure camping of any type learning fire building can be the difference between life and death.

2) Dress well and plan ahead. I didn't plan ahead as well as should have been and was not dressed well for my camp out  a light jacket and a rain coat will keep you alive in a 30 degree night but you will be miserable. i probably lost three pound shivering that night. that is the reason i left early the second knight was going to significantly colder that the first so i left a bit early.

till later.
